Maksym V. Mykhaylenko - Ukrainian political journalist, analyst and a retired diplomat.
Fields of expertize: global political economy, European and Euro-Atlantic enlargement, institutional modernization and studies of hybrid warfare.
He has completed his BA in International Studies in the Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania (1998) and acquired his university degree in English, French and German Philology from Chernivtsi Yury Fed'kovych National University (1999), respectively.
Mr. Mykhaylenko has earned his MA in International Relations and European Studies from Central European University, Budapest, Hungary/ Open University, London, UK (2000), specializing in comparative analysis of structural reform.
In 2011 the Honoris Causa doctoral degree was conferred upon him by the Wisconsin International University in Ukraine (Concordia University since 2018).
Mr Mykhaylenko has held numerous government and staff positions between 2010 and 2022, being also active in expanding Ukraine-India cooperation since July 2017. On October 3, 2013 he was awarded with the Commemorative Medal for promotion of the ideas of European Unity.
Starting 2013 Maksym Mykhaylenko contributes to the Chronos Institute for Social Research as its director for R&D and since September 2014 he heads the Newssky (incorporated as Newssky Media Information Agency on July 7, 2021).
